https://www.newsweek.com/trump-jeffrey-epstein-little-black-book-thomas-massie-john-paulson-2125070 Republican Representative Thomas Massie has said billionaire John Paulson, a major donor to President Donald Trump's campaign, was in Jeffrey Epstein's "black book." Paulson was previously named as someone in Epstein's "little black book," a contact book that was seized during investigations. Massie has raised the issue amid the backlash plaguing the Trump administration over its handling of files related to Epstein's case. and In the Newsmax interview, Rob Schmitt asked Massie for some of these names. The congressman said: "Well, let me give you the name of one of the billionaires who's running $2 million of ads in my district since I started this effort. His name is John Paulson. "He's a hedge fund manager and a major donor to the Republican Party, a major donor to the speaker of the House, a major donor to the president's campaign, and he's in Epstein's black book. "Now, that's public, but that's indicative of the types of people who may be implicated or just embarrassed by a complete release of these files." Looks like the vote may pass to do an individual vote on release of the files.

[image: 9781101190111_p0_v1_s1200x630.jpg] In "The Last Stand," bestselling author Nathaniel Philbrick reexamines the legendary Battle of Little Bighorn, a pivotal moment in American history that epitomizes courage and catastrophic defeat. Intertwining the fates of two iconic figures—Sitting Bull, a charismatic leader of the Plains Indians, and the daring George Armstrong Custer, a celebrated Union cavalry officer—Philbrick crafts a compelling narrative that unveils the complexities of this epic confrontation. The June 1876 battle stands not only as Custer's infamous "Last Stand," but also as a bittersweet victory for the Sioux and Cheyenne nations, whose resistance against government policies would soon lead them to confinement on reservations. With vivid descriptions of the Great Plains and a dramatic sense of history, Philbrick's account captivates readers, illuminating a story that continues to resonate in the American psyche. Really good book and quite interesting. I did not know much about this history, but learned a lot. Amazing how things have changed over the past years. This would be a book that I think @jolly would like. Very atmospheric and makes you feel that you there as it is happening. Only problem (for me) in the book is that there is a lot of names to keep track of. LOL

We love our Minnesooooota wrens. I make or buy birdhouses specifically for them. We have four or more nesting pairs around our property, and I added three more birdhouses for them this summer. They're great bug eaters, so they earn the right to have free housing. Our number of bugs has decreased significantly, and I will continue to keep a supply of birdhouses available for these sweet songbirds.

When I was a kid a friend of mine had a bird that would perfectly mimic the telephone ringing. It probably didn’t hurt that someone would come into the room every time he did it (that’s where the phone was)

I think it is too. I'm not sure it will last, because it's essentially the same game every day. Not as varied as say Connections or Strands or Letterboxed.

On the plus side, if Trump had control we'd likely see a nice boom in spending and stock market growth, only to pass the torch (filled with flaming inflation) to a new generation of Americans.

@jon-nyc said in Piano Party 7/27. Klaus is coming to visit: Boy-nyc playing guitar: [image: 1753757826847-img_6632.jpeg] I know that guitar! Boy-nyc sure is a talented young man. We spent a few minutes down in his music cave with a set of electronic drums, electric and acoustic guitars, a keyboard and he plays them all and does so very well given the amount of time he has spent learning how to play them. Two months on the drums and he is good enough to play in a band. That's impressive to say the least.
